Review of Dr. Scholl's Active Series Insoles
Since Xanga has been reformatted and I don't know how to update it yet, I'm sticking with my blogspot for my reviews for awhile.
So recently I received a pair of Dr. Scholl's Active Series Insoles as a complimentary product from Influenster. They're geared towards the athletes and are supposed to reduce shock by 40%, relieve and prevent pain from shin splits, runner's knee and plantar fasciitis, and reduce foot odor. With their "triple zone protection", the insoles are supposed to distribute pressure when pushing off (due to the thicker back padding), improve transition of weight from landing to push-off (the unique arch design), and stabilize heel while absorbing impact in every step (due to deep heel cups)*.
Directions are easy enough. After you take out the insoles, you're supposed to take your running or athletic shoes, take out the original insole, place the Dr. Scholl's insole over it, cut out the excess Dr. Scholl's insole (you can use a pen to trace design of original insole before cutting off extra insole) and put the NEW insole back into your shoe.
So apparently the directions are easy enough, but yes, I messed up. I placed BOTH paddings back into my shoe. No wonder I had such a hard time running with them on. I think it might also be why Dr. Scholl's didn't publish my review onto their website? I guess I will have to rewrite a review. Having just that one insole definitely helped keep my shins in better condition of running. I run at least 2 miles a day, so these Active Insoles really helped. Definitely did cushion my foot and help protect from any other damages. Would recommend. They come in 4 sizes (2 for men, 2 for women) and it is recommended to switch them out after 6 months or at first sign of wear.
